The Kabbalistic Astrology Newsletter

                 April 30th, 2006

                          by Joseph-Mark Cohen

The New Moon at 8 degrees of Taurus on April 27th is what we could call the Earth Day New Moon or the day for preparing the earth for a new seeding in springtime in Northern Hemispheres. So I thought it might be fun to focus this Kan on the seeds that each sign of the Zodiac might consider planting this spring. The aspects this month feature a grand trine in the water signs that is most extact from May 5-8. This trine has Mars in the 14th degree of Cancer, Jupiter in the 14th degree of Scorpio and Sun transiting from 14th to 18th degree of Taurus. On the Tree-of-Life map Mars is the guardian of Gevurah (self-mastery, inner strength, will), Jupiter is the guardian/ruler of Hhesed (compassion, kindness, love) and the Sun is the guardian of Tipheret (love, harmony, beauty, radiance). So this grand trine is all about the balancing of emotions and bringing the soul energies and soul memory into greater awareness and integration.  I see this trine as an alchemical portal, an opportunity for us to attune to the innate vibrational intelligence of the heart. Mercury and Venus are both changing tropical zodiac signs early in May with Mercury entering Taurus on the 5th and Venus at the 0 degrees Aries point on the 3rd. The mental body will need to focus more on pragmatic concerns, wealth, prosperity, inner resources while the emotional body is out there in search of new liasons and magnetic moments.

It is a good weekend for conferences concerning health and relationships. I will be stationed at the Yoga  in Toronto Conference and Show (www.yogaintoronto.com)  for much of this weekend and if you are nearby, you will find me there at a booth called Alchemy (Fashions) at the invitation of my Kootenay friend Trish Hoyre. I will bring with me a dozen Microcosmos Mineral jewellery pieces, a dozen or two Alchemysteries Aromatics and 3 Elixirs: Galactic Alignment, Arcturus and Merkavah. These elixirs were formulated a few years ago in the cradle of Cathedral Rock in Sedona at the time when the Sun was conjunct the Galactic Centre. Given Pluto's long station at the GC this year, I believe these elixirs are allies in the recalibration of the vibrational frequencies happening for each of us now. So if you are nearby, do visit for a sample, a chat or a hug. The energies peak this month at the full moon in Scorpio on the 13th and shift again as Sun conjuncts the Pleiades on the 19th of May before entering Gemini on the 21st. I can invite you to join us for a Spring Astrological Vision Nest Retreat that weekend (Victoria Day Long Weekend in Canada) on Manitoulin Island, the largest freshwater island on the planet. Just check the Manitoulin button at www.treeoflifeschool.com to catch the brochure and the invite to this seminar.

And now for those zodiac seeds we promised:

Aries: With Venus about to enter your sign, Aries, you are prepared to put your inimitable mutable self forward and attract some major attention. You may fall impulsive head over Achilles heel into a new relationship this month. Plant your feet firmly on the earth and let your heartbeat discover a stable new rhythm. Plant the seeds of a great new adventure....

Taurus: Earth day, mirth day, this is the very merry month of May for you Taureans... Yes it is true that there is money to be made this month and that Jupiter in Scorpio is presenting you with opportunities beyond your wildest imagination. There is a budding earth shaman sprouting in your soul and you may be called to join a ceremonial initiation this month. Find yourself a copy of Shape Shifting by John Perkins and prepare your drum for the pow-wow...

Gemini: There are many new healing modalities out there in this time of the Shift. And you are one of the privileged ones who have the openness of mind and the lightness of heart to spot that which is appropriate for the times. Here is a tip from your astrologer. Do a google search on sacred geometry and biogeometry. You will be fascinated with the geomantic teachings of Ibrahim Karim who recently presented his work at the Dowser's group in Toronto. Do a little map dowsing if you feel it is time for you to travel....

Cancer: The old medieval school of astrology would give you all sorts of warnings to protect you from pernicious influences this month with Mars transiting your sign. I say, let go of the last residue of victim consciousness, become conscious of your deep dark secret hiding places of abandonment, denial and outright rage. Then do some inner witnessing and gestalt dialogue with the demons and your personal daimon. Your alchemical seeds and spices are stashed away in the kitchen of your vast subconscious mind.

Leo: Yes, Saturn is still in your sign inviting you to handle some family karma with parents or children or a business deal that went awry. However you need to know that on inner planes (not the jetstream kind) you are about to explore a deeper layer of what was called in Egypt, the intelligence of the heart. So chin up, Leo. Go sniff the rose oil and read Stephen Harrod Buhner's book for nature lovers entitled The Secret Teachings of Plants....

Virgo: You, Virgo, of all the signs of the zodiac , are fully aware that the computer is a extension of the mind, the hands are the extension of the heart and the garden is the place to go for joy, healing, serenity and inner harmony. Yes, there are a thousand little tasks on the to-do list and time management is challenging for us all... You can hurry slowly this month and sing to your seedlings....

Libra: Leonard Cohen has officially won a nagging lawsuit and Jelaluddin Rumi's poetry is at the top of the charts for those opening the petals of the heart in North America. So I say that this month, ruled by Venus, is a time for the poet in the Libra to come alive and inspire the tribe to live with greater vision and compassion. Plant the seeds of beauty this month, Libra. Coleman Barks' The Glance will attune you to the mystical annihilation that comes with the dissolving of personal conditional when love prys open the heart portal.

Scorpio: Of all the zodiac dancers who are dancing this month, you, Scorpio, are the one that I must encourage to freeze, to freeze in one of your conditioned postures until an ecstatic primordial gesture to the gods and goddesses overtakes you.... and you fall into a healing trance that just might resolve all your memory of past--life trauma. Plant the seeds of core transformation this month and I promise that by your birthday you will birth a new you... ( ps: the book for you to read when you are back from tranceland is Catastrophobia by Barbara Hand Clow )

Sagittarius:  Yes, it is true that Pluto is still skulking about the Galactic Centre and preparing the Earth for some big earth changes and karmic waste management. And the truth is that you would like to see the old world dissolve more gracefully than the dark forces hanging on to worldly power and hoarded resources might allow. You know in your heart of hearts that you have been chosen to be a messenger, a way-shower, a lightworker, nay, even a channel of Galactic frequencies that are bathing the planet this very moment.  This just in: An Ascended Master is advising you to do what you do with high humour and detachment...(or else!)

Capricorn: Yes, the price of gold if rising, the American dollar is tumbling,  and real estate may have peeked in North America with the possible exception of cottage country where baby-boomers are retiring. Apple is probably a better investment that Microsoft. You, dear Capricorn, are the goat who goes it alone and can see the new economy. The words I have to whisper in your ears are these: Renewable Resources. Renewable Energies. Renewable Utilities. Chi Kung. Zero Point Energy. The Plenum. Plant your seeds for the next seven generations...

Aquarius: There is something about that Neptune transit through Aquarius that is dissolving all that you have ever dreamed yourself to be as you surrender to Spirit in ways you never imagined that you could surrender. You are in search of a trusty translator at the border crossing of habit and ritual, attachment and detachment, memory and imagination. The doors of perception are wide open for you this month, Aquarius... Plant the seeds of ecstatic change....

Pisces: Blessed are the Pisceans for their infinite capacity for compassion and empathic communion. And challenged are the Pisceans for their infinite capacity to find themselves in a feedback loop between yes and no, heart and mind, go and stop, light and dark, ad infinitum. Perhaps metaphysics dissolves when you attain lightspeed. Time now for deep core change and action, Pisces. No more stories on the storyboard. No more telephone calls to resolve misunderstandings.  Try saying Yes to everything asked of you this month and re-read the Magdalen Manuscript  by Tom Kenyon and Judi Sion.. You are the alchemist !!

Happy May Day and a fine Grand Trine to you and yours,
